No, we didn’t drive up to the top of the crater but did see it from the helicopter ride! Maybe my next trip! I am still catching my breath from all the views and beautiful mountains there! I’m down at the beach now, vegging out! haha
I live here and they always take my breath away. I think I even said that in my ‘driving to the other side of the island’ video, where we come through the tunnel. Breathtaking. Maui has different sorts of mountains. Haleakala is crazy beautiful. Did you end up going?
Those mountains just took my breath away and then the ones on Maui did the same!!! I needed your inhaler! haha Yes, everyone we spoke to was a student who worked there. I didn’t know about the fire dancing contests. That same guy was there in 98 when we visited but he wasn’t doing the fire dancing then.. He is really fantastic! Did you see his bod? OMG, the muscles in his legs!
Ahh yes, that is the Koolau Mountain Range. Nothing like them in the world. I just love that evening show. It’s so well done. And if I remember correctly, all of the kids who work there attend BYU.
Do you know they hold fire dancing competitions there every year? Woot. Look at that guy go!
